101 Goal in 1001 Days: Halfway Check-In
So this go around I have been keeping way better track of my goal list.  Having a bullet journal has been super helpful in this endeavor, which is in and of itself a goal.  Anywho, I wanted to check in halfway so I could further chart my progress.  Maybe next time I'll do monthly or quarter check -ins.  I dunno.  ON TO THE LIST!

This puts me at 29/101 completed.  I'm actually pleased with my progress.  Many of the ones I've not completed are in the works.  My end date is April 29, 2019, so I have plenty of time.  A few of these are going to happen anyway, so wish me luck!

Photo-A-Day Challenge: Part 1
As a part of my 101 goals in 1001 days, I have a goal to complete a photo challenge.  After many false starts, I am happy to say I am half way done with one!  My sister is doing it with me, so I'm sure that is helping.

The challenge is the Fat Mum Slim Photo A Day Challenge.  She comes out with a monthly list of prompts to use.  So here is November's.

We're half way done.  So here are my photos so far.

I'm better at collaging in person -_-

Bead Peeps Swap n' Hop 2017

Today is the day! The blog hop and reveal party! Just reposting the beads I sent (to the left) and what I received (on the right) before we get started.  My partner this year is Lori Schneider.  She sent me some great stuff, so let's go!

With some of the turquoise-esque glass I made a bracelet with glass beads and copper.

With the silver glass drops I made a pair of dangle earrings.  I intend on making a matching necklace, but I need to go chain shopping first.  Everything I have is either too large or too delicate.

I love theses earrings! I paired brass flower stampings with the enamel butterflies.

Now on to the necklace. I seemed to be stuck on the blue/copper color scheme, so I went with it.  I used the blue/green glass beads along with one of the double sided focals and some glass beads from my own stash for this one.  I am really pleased with how it turned out.

I hope you all enjoyed my contribution to the blog hop.  Now go look at everyone else's!

Bead Peeps Swap n' Hop Bead Reveal
So it's that time of year again!  I had so much fun with this group's bead swap last year that I decided to participate again.  This year my swap partner is Lori Schneider.  This is what I sent her. Don't worry, I know she's received it!
The ceramic pendant is from Etsy's muddyfingers.  The bicones, triangles, daggers, and rondelles are all Czech glass.  There's also carved wooden beads, carnelian rounds, chain, and a toggle clasp.  I can't wait to see what she makes.
This is what I received. So much cool stuff!  The next time you see these beads, they will be a part of beautiful jewelry pieces.   Stay tuned!

2016: The Good Things
I think we can all agree that 2016 was a trying year.  I won't recap on those things, since they are different for everyone and cause disagreement.  I am trying to make an active effort to be more positive and as such, I decided to post about the milestones I and my family have reached this year.

1. My nephew came into the world
Look at the peanut! His name is Levi and he is adorable.  That is all.

2. I got my hair streaked my favorite color
Lime green have been my favorite color since I grew out of the pink phase.  I've dyed my hair black and bright red, but never a color it would need to be bleached for.  I had this done at a salon and it was a great experience.

3.I became an LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist)
A year of hard work. 8 tests, 66 clinical hours, 15 clinical event hours, 2 practicals, and 1 state exam (the mBLEx) later I am officially a massage therapist.  This journey has been amazing and anxiety provoking at the same time.  I have learned many techniques, as well as gained a better ability to ask for help.
4. I got my first real job
(picture to follow) About a week after I finished up my clinical hours at school, I got a phone call from one of the supervisors.  A week after THAT, I became a member of Irene's Myomassology Institute's team of employees.  I work as a clinical supervisor, I supervise the students during their clinical hours, to make sure they are draping correctly, body mechanics are proper, etc.  I also get to be an instructor when a new class needs orienting to the clinic.

5. I got to see my favorite band in concert
Behold Twinny.  She is holding up the shirt to demonstrate the band name.  Yes, were were in lawn seats.  Yes, it was crowded.  But they day was so fan-freaking-tastic.  I have enjoyed Breaking Benjamin's music since 04', and with hiatuses, illness of the lead singer, and the band breaking up, I was worried I'd never see them live.  But They came out with a new album in 15' and we got to see them as well as Disturbed.
