Day Eight: Where I Blog
Today during the Kickin' It Old Skool blog-a-thon, we're sharing where we make the magic happen. Please forgive the not so good picture... I took it with a phone camera :/
Anywho! I've got an all-in-one computer, so no need for a CPU unit. My old computer died of a power surge over the summer, so she had to be replaced. The zebra blanket is covering the modem, since it's REALLY bright and my computer is in my room, thus it's annoying when I try to sleep. I've got my lovely tea steeping in front with my turtle-dragon watching over my computer and my fireballs (it's shell opens, shhh don't tell anyone).
Then I've got stack of books and pads of paper to the left, along with markers and CDs that never get used. On the shelf above that are my knickknacks. Turtles made of shell and stone, a miniature tea set, various anime figures, as well as my Jin-Chan toad for prosperity can be found here.
Above that is where we keep the house phone, which is housed on my Keri Smith book set. I also have my metaphysical/herbalism books that love to fall over as soon as I get one out. You can kind of see my purple turtle Neon in front of them.
Finally, to the upper left I have empty books (to be used for herbal information) and magazines in a stack. I've got my Gemini doll in her lime green glory and my coffee can full of marbles. The marbles are topped with my bridesmaid bouquet from my sister's wedding. Behind the doll is my mother's bridal bouquet that I caught... well... picked up.
Yes I know I have a lot of stuff. I need to pare down a lot. Well, this is my office/room/computer situation area. I hope you enjoyed your stay.
I like your blogging space! I recognize some of the books and love all the stuff you've out there. Nice to meet, we've got quite some things in common. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely space. It really has a lot of personality. I used to have an all in one computer but it died.
ReplyDeleteI really like your space. It is nice that you are surrounded by things that are meaningful to you.
ReplyDeleteDon't pare down unless the clutter is actually bothering you. Being surrounded by things that you love and things that mean something to you is important.

ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us visit "your space!" I take all my pictures from a camera phone. I would have never known!
