Day Sixteen: Favorite Music

Yes I changed the prompt, which is favorite songs.  I have favorite bands and genres, but rarely favorite songs.  Anywho, here is a short list of some of my favorites.  Note: A lot of these will be foreign, simply because they deserve to be mentioned.

Asrai- A Dutch Gothic rock band.  

Within Temptation- Another Dutch band, but more symphonic.  The lead singer Sharon has some interesting dance moves, but it just shows what a faerie she is.

Highland- A German band, I believe.  Its got a mixture of rap/hip-hop and symphonic vocals.  You would think it doesn't work, but I think they're awesome.  Most of the vocals are in Italian.

Kalafina- A Japanese group consisting of three main singers.  They harmonize beautifully and have a style that ranges from pop to ballads.

Yulia Savicheva- A Russian pop singer.  She has a lovely voice and does have some slower, more powerful songs as well.

Breaking Benjamin- Probably my favorite American group.  An awesome rock band.
The Birthday Massacre- A Canadian rock/synthpop band with a dark feel.

I do enjoy a variety of other music, ranging from classical to metal as well as from just about every era.  It would be a lot to list.
