Day Twelve: 10 Things I Know For Sure
Today's prompt on KIOSB is ten things I know for sure.
1. It's okay not to be happy all the time. For some people, contentment is fine as it is.
2. NEVER leave a candle burning unattended. Or by a pizza box. Or put tissues near an open flame. No matter how much you think it's secure... it won't be.
3. Don't let the flail-y person hold the eggs.
4. Don't feed the trolls. No matter how angry you get or how badly you want to psycho-analyse them, you usually won't make a real impact unless you know them in person. Because.. you know, people on the internet aren't real. *sarcasm*
5. Sarcasm is NOT the lowest form of wit. For some, it's a defense mechanism. For others, a means of showing affection.
6. Be nice to the servers, the garbage people, the employees at a store. Not just because they handle your stuff, but because they are people too.
7. No matter how mad you get, don't say you hate someone. Most likely you'll calm down and feel like a jerk later.
8. Different strokes for different folks. Unless it's something that harms you or yours in some way, try to be open minded.
9. It's possible to have too much of a good thing.
10. In the end, all you can control is you.

Oooooo, yes. I agree with every item on this list - especially number six. We all play a part in the grand scheme of things, and we all deserve to be treated with respect. Well done!

ReplyDelete#6!! Yes!! I used to work as a waitress and later as a catering manager for an upscale venue and it was frustrating to see servers be treated with disrespect. You wouldn't dream of treating your doctor or dentist that way!
